Mayor Kaunda Says Repairs To Infrastructure Are Currently Underway

EThekwini Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda says the city is committed to ensuring that repairs to the road as well as water and sanitation infrastructure that was damaged during the floods in April and May last year are completed.

Kaunda says the city has commenced with the work of rehabilitating the M4 Inkosi Albert Luthuli Highway southbound carriageway, while the repair of an uMlazi sewer siphon pipe will be completed in the next nine days.

He has introduced a contractor that will carry out the project of rehabilitating the M4 Highway.

Kaunda says the cost of rehabilitating the freeway will be just over 121 million rands and it is expected to take ten months to complete, adding that the city remains committed to fulfilling all its promises.
