Mbalula commends public transport drivers for adhering to lockdown regulations

Minister of Transport, Fikile Mbalula, has reminded public transport commuters how important it is to continue wearing face masks in the taxis.

Mbalula says all measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 must continue until it is completely safe.

He’s also reiterated that social distancing in buses and taxis must be enforced.

Meanwhile the motor industry may now do business again, according to the level four relaxation regulations.

A third of the sales personnel are allowed to be on duty, transactions must be done online or telephonically, and vehicles must be delivered to homes.

The executive manager of the online vehicle market Auto Trader, George Minie, says the industry is working to resolve the problem of vehicles not being able to be registered at this time.
