Transport Minister Fikile Mbalula says unlawful drivers or pedestrians during this festive season will face the full might of the law.

The Minister alongside KwaZulu-Natal Premier, Sihle Zikalala, led an integrated road safety campaign, Hoot For Life , and inspections of various establishments in Durban.

The Hoot For Life Arrive Alive campaign forms part of the intensified 365-days “Waya-Waya” Arrive Alive campaign to create road safety awareness by encouraging responsible road user behaviour among South Africans.

Mbalula says unroadworthy and overloaded vehicles and heavy duty vehicles will be impounded.
