The principal of one of the previously worse performing schools in the Durban South region, Sbongiseni Xulu, of Mbambangwe High School says they hope their matric will do well this year.
The school has previously been marred by gangsterism as well as pupils abusing drugs which resulted in a low matric pass rate.
Xulu says their goal for this year is to achieve a 75% Matric pass rate.
