MEC Kwazi Mshengu Meets With Parents To Solve Issues at Sukuma High

KwaZulu-Natal Education MEC Kwazi Mshengu says Sukuma High School in Pietermaritzburg has been placed under administration due to lack of management.
Mshengu visited the school following Monday’s protest by both learners and parents who blockaded the road with burning tyres and broken bottles.
They demanded that Mshengu visit the school to address the parents and come up with a way forward to deal with the problems facing the school.
The school, which also offeres boarding facilities has been without water for about seven months, due to it owing R7 million to the Msunduzi Municipality.
Mshengu says the School Governing Body has failed to manage the school because of the current factions in the school.
