Orlando Pirates midfielder Miguel Timm believes that Pirates are reaping the rewards of sticking together as a team through the good and bad times this season, as they head into yet another cup final. Pirates will lock horns with Sekhukhune United in the Nedbank Cup final at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday evening. The final will present another opportunity for the Soweto giants to add a second piece of silverware for the season, after capturing the MTN 8. It has also been a successful league season for the Buccaneers who finished second behind champions Mamelodi Sundowns in the DSTV Premiership and will make a return to CAF Champions league football next season.
Miguel Timm is playing his first season at the club and has become a fan favourite due to his heroics in the two cup runs and league matches. The Durban-born midfield ace has given huge credit to the Pirates technical team for the work they’ve done with the group over the season, and also reserved special praise for the players who have stuck together through the good and bad times to reach two cup finals.
