Umgeni Water says it will be conducting oversight visits to various parts of the province following the devastating floods and will soon give an update.
The eThekwini Municipality has introduced water restrictions in some parts of the city, as KZN recovers from the deadly flooding. The main damage is in the pipeline that supplies raw water to Durban Heights Water Treatment works.
The cost of damage to pipelines in eThekwini Municipality alone is estimated at R1 billion.
Water and Sanitation minister, Senzo Mchunu, says work is underway to make repairs and results could possibly be seen at the end of May.
