Mkhize: Communities need to be educated about Covid-19

Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize, says a lot still needs to be done to educate communities about Covid-19.
He’s been briefing media on the coronavirus statistics in Durban.
The country now has 11350 confirmed coronavirus cases, 206 deaths and over 4300 recoveries.
Mkhize says people must understand that they have the power to curb the spread of infection.

Meanwhile there has been a call on president, Cyril Ramaphosa, to priorities citizens with disabilities following his statement that the government will use the Covid-19 pandemic to build an inclusive new economy.
The University of Cape Town’s Division of Disability Studies, says the hopes of thousands of citizens with disabilities are riding on this promise.
Spokesperson, Nombuso Shabalala, says with millions of people becoming impoverished there is a danger that the rights of those with disabilities will become subsumed.
