Mkhwebane Accepts Madonsela’s Testimony

Suspended Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane says she is satisfied with the testimony of her predecessor Thuli Madonsela before Parliament’s Section 194 committee.

The committee is looking into Mkhwebane’s fitness to hold office.

Madonsela was at loggerheads with Mkwebane’s advocate Dali Mpofu for a full two days of testimony, after the former public protector made changes to her written statement, which Mpofu accused her of doing it deliberately and to undermine him.

Mkhwebane says Madonsela’s Testimony has brought a new perspective on how the institution of the Public Protector’s office is operating.
