Mkhwebane Argues Her Suspension

Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane’s lawyer says suspending her from office pending an inquiry would be punitive and would impact her dignity.
Mkwhebane has once again returned to court challenging the Constitutional Court’s decision to reject her impeachment rescission bid.
The court’s decision allows for President Cyril Ramaphosa to go ahead and suspend her.
Advocate Dali Mpofu, who made the argument in the Western Cape High Court in Cape Town on Wednesday, says Mkhwebane’s suspension could be very prejudicial to her.
