Judge President Dunstan Mlambo has denied suggestions that he’s shown partiality towards President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Mlambo was responding to a question by Judicial Service Commission (JSC) Commissioner, Griffiths Madonsela, during his interview for the position of Chief Justice.

Madonsela expressed that there has been a trend where cases involving the previous administration, which at first had been heard in the Western Cape High Court, were later litigated in the Pretoria high court.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the JSC interviewed Constitutional Court justice Mbuyiseli Madlanga and Supreme Court of Appeal president Mandisa Maya respectively.

The commission will anytime from now begin with the interview of acting chief justice Raymond Zondo.

Mlambo says the Gauteng high court has never favours President Cyril Ramaphosa’s administration however, always applies the rule of law regardless of who the matter involves.
