Former Chairperson of the Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) Popo Molefe, says he is deeply aggrieved by the comments president Cyril Ramaphosa made about him at the state capture inquiry.
Ramaphosa told the inquiry that Molefe failed to deal with corruption at the state-owned freight and rail entity.
Evidence leader Vas Soni confronted the President with Molefe’s previous account when he appeared before the commission.
Molefe said he had approached Ramaphosa and the ANC’s top six with his plans and information to root out corruption and turn the rail agency profitable, however was given the cold shoulder and no assistance.
In his response, Ramaphosa denied allegation that the ANC failed to act on corruption at Prasa adding that they are doing their best to fix the mistakes made.
