South Africa has recorded 28 more coronavirus-related deaths bringing the total number to 552.
There are now 25 937 confirmed cases of the virus and 13 451 recoveries which translate to a recovery rate of 52-percent to date.
The health ministry says the Western Cape continues to be a concern with 16 893 confirmed cases of Covid-19 and 391 deaths.
Meanwhile minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, and Trade Industry and Competition minister, Ebrahim Patel, will brief the nation this afternoon on the level three lockdown regulations.
The whole country will move to level three on Monday.
The briefing has been postponed twice before and political analyst, Ralph Mathekga, says this raises questions over the unity within the National Coronavirus Command Council.
