Mtolo Accuses IFP Of Failing To Manage Funds In Newcastle

African National Congress provincial secretary, Bheki Mtolo, has accused the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) of collapsing the Newcastle municipality.
The Inkatha is leading the municipality in coalition with the Team Sugar South Africa political party, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) and other political parties.
In January, the IFP-led Newcastle council removed the acting municipal manager, Vish Govender, which the party accused of pushing an ANC agenda.
Mtolo says the municipality has increase the Eskom’s debt which was previously reduced by its fomrer mayor Ntuthuko Mahlaba.
