Scores of former President Jacob Zuma’s supporters are expected to converge at People’s Park in eThekwini this morning ahead a national prayer for the sickly politician.
The event is being held under the Jacob Zuma Foundation, and follows what it describes as a tough period for the former president.
It has only been four weeks since Zuma was released from jail on medical parole, after he spent two months of his 15-month sentence for contempt of court.
Spokesperson for the JZ Foundation Mzwanele Manyi says the prayer event is for supporters to wish the Zuma well.

It remains unclear if the former statesman will be in attendance, however, Manyi has this say on the programme.
