The National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union (NEHAWU) in the KwaZulu-Natal is warning of a full blown strike if their demands presented to Mhlathuze Water Board in Richards Bay north of the province are not met.

The union has met with the water board to handover their memorandum of grievances.

The trade union wants salaries to be reviewed, nepotism to stop and an end to the victimisation of shop stewards by Mhlathuze Water.

NEHAWU Provincial Secretary, Ayanda Zulu ,says many attempts have been made to engage the employer in the past, but it did not yield any positive results.

Zulu says they will plan a full-blown strike if demands are not met.
