Minister in the Presidency Mondli Gungubele says those who test positive for COVID 19 with no symptoms, do not have to isolate.
His statement follows meetings of the National Coronavirus Command Council (NCCC) and the President’s Coordinating Council which received updates on the management of the Coronavirus in the country.
Cabinet has also reviewed the resumption of schooling to full-time learning in all schools.
Primary, secondary and special schools will return to daily attendance.
The regulatory provision for social distancing of one-meter for learners in schools has also been removed.
Gungubele says those who test positive WITH symptoms will now isolate for seven days instead of 10 days, while contacts do not have to isolate unless they develop symptoms.
