Niehaus Sues Mbalula for R8 Million

MKMVA veteran and Spokeperson, Carl Niehaus, has opened a defamation of character case against ANC NEC member, Fikile Mbalula.

Niehaus is suing Mbalula for R8 million.

This follows Mbalula tweeting calling Niehaus a thug on twitter.

In March, Mbalula’s also tweeted attacking fellow NEC member, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, insinuating that she had vied for the party’s job at the behest of her former husband, ex-president Jacob Zuma, who had wanted to create a family dynasty in the ANC.

This was after ANC NEC member, Lindiwe Sisulu had posted a picture of all the ANC 2019 presidential candidates, reminiscing about this moment.

Dlamini- Zuma then wrote a letter to the party’s Secretary General, Ace Magashule, saying Mbalula’s disparaging statements was a reflection of patriarchy and misogyny.

Niehaus says Mbalula has not been willing to neither apologise or engage after his actions and adds that the NEC member uses his social media to attack other politicians and no step has been taken against him before for this.

Niehaus is suing Mbalula for R8 million.
