NUMSA Continues to Challenge SAA Woes

Unions representing South African Airways workers say it will be opposing attempts by the Department of Public Enterprises to intervene in the urgent application they have lodged against the business rescue practitioners at the troubled airline.

National Union of Metalworkers South Africa wants the Labour Court to declare the decision to not pay their members unlawful and unfair.

Spokesperson Phakamile Hlubi-Majola says employees at SA Express have not been paid since the airline was placed under business rescue in February last year.
