Nzimande Clarifies SASSA & NSFAS Confusion

Higher Education minister, Blade Nzimande says all SASSA beneficiaries will qualify for the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) for higher learning.

Nzimande has been briefing media on the state of readiness for the higher education sector in 2022, as well as clarifying a number things relating to the funding scheme.

The minister says however, not everyone that will qualify will be given the funding but only those who have been accepted to study at a higher institution of learning.

He says the funding is not just for anyone but students who have been given an opportunity to learn but are faced with financial circumstances.
