Orlando Pirates will win over Kaizer Chiefs – Edward Motale

Edward Motale says Orlando Pirates will beat Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday in the Nedbank Cup semi-final at the FNB Stadium.

The two giants, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are set to square off in the semi-finals of the Nedbank Cup that involves teams from the country’s premier and lower divisions.

This will be the first time the two teams are facing off at this stage which sees the overall winner qualifying for the CAF Confederations Cup, where Pirates finished runners up in 2015.

Motale, a member of the much revered Pirates team from the 1990’s, said there was still a considerable amount at stake during this fixture, suggesting that it still defined the level of success either club is deemed to have had in a season.

With the league title already long gone to Mamelodi Sundowns, the MTN8 in the Orlando trophy cabinet and the CAF Champions League number-two spot seemingly out of reach, Arthur Zwane will be under pressure to win the Nedbank Cup and finally end the eight-year trophy drought.
