Our very own Felix is the host of The Saturday Showdown

Our very own outspoken Felix Hlophe is proud to present a game show called The Saturday Showdown season two on Mzansi Magic alongside Thato Moeng.

We love it when talented people, who have been working tirelessly finally get their flowers, after a whole decade in the industry. The Mzansi Magic, show is described as a fun and games, laugh-a-minute show with the biggest prize pot. On Saturday Showdown five teams face off every Saturday in a knock-out competition where they compete for over R3 million in cash prizes. The first season was presented by media personality and comedian Skhumba Hlophe, together with Supersport reporter, Thato Moeng.

Thato is returning for the second season, and the great news is that an equally talented personality has been roped in to co-host with Thato. Felix, who hosts The Uprising with Minnie Ntuli has experience and talent in abundance and is currently holding it down with the beautiful lady.

Co-hosts Thato Moeng and Felix Hlophe are the reason you need to stay home every Saturday night, okay? Their energy is seamless and keeps us glued to our screens.    

The teams

The show has six teams that are made up of three super cool individuals, a celebrity team captain, plus a lucky DStv rewards player. The team’s Fire Fairies, BLT, Intombi ZamaZulu, Mapirara, Franky’s Finest, and Rise and Shine bring fire to the games arena every week, as they face off in a knock-out competition for that massive grand prize.

Each week, one lucky DStv rewards player is selected randomly and is asked a show-related question at the end of the show. If they get the answer correct, they are entered into the lucky draw where they stand a chance to win over half a million at the end of the season. 

Felix gained popularity through doing comedy, as making people laugh comes easily to him. He has since grown to be among the first-generation comedians in the country. We are truly proud of “The Uprising Breakfast Show” host, and we know his supporters are too.

The games continue every week and teams are fighting to be at the top of the leadership board. Which team is your money on?
