OUTA to Challenge Myeni’s Appeal

Written by on 8 February, 2021

The Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (OUTA) will be back in court today to challenge another attempt by Dudu Myeni to escape her lifetime delinquency order.

In May 2020, Myeni was declared a delinquent director for life, by the High Court in Pretoria, following being accused of bringing the embattled airline to its knees.

The former South African Airways (SAA)  director is trying to block the interim enforcement of the order.

The order was granted to OUTA and the SAA Pilots’ Association by Judge Ronel Tolmay, resulting in the immediate enforcement of the lifetime delinquency order against Myeni, pending the outcome of any appeal process.

OOTA’s Faizel Davids, says the organisation and SAAPA will oppose any appeal which is filed.
