Phaahla Condemns Operation Dudula For Taking Matters Into Their Own Hands

Minister of Health, Dr Joe Phaahla has admitted that foreigners put the healthcare sector under pressure, but has condemned those taking matters into their own hands.

The minister visited Kalafong Hospital in Pretoria following clashes between members of Operation Dudula and the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) outside the facility.

Operation Dudula is accusing the hospital of offering undocumented foreign nationals treatment.

Phaahla proposed that his department look into processes used in the admission of foreign nationals to South African hospitals.
