Pirates complete Spain pre season tour unbeaten

Orlando Pirates wrapped up their pre season tour of Spain unbeaten after playing a 0-0 draw against UD Las Palmas on Wednesday. Jose Reveiro’s men kicked off their pre season tour with a 1-0 win over Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv, on 13 July with Patrick Maswanganyi scoring the only goal of the match. The Bucaneers came from behind to record a 3-1 win over Serie A side Independiente del Valle in their second fixture with goals from Souaibou Marou, Fortune Makaringe and Patrick Maswanganyi who got his second goal of the pre season tour.
Pirates will return home and continue with their preparations for the 2023/24 season. The Bucaneers will be looking to defend the MTN 8 and Nedbank Cup titles they won last season and also make valuable strides in recapturing the DSTV Premiership title from the dominant Mamelodi Sundowns.
