PMB man handed life sentence for raping step daughter

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) says it welcomes the verdict in the case of 36 year old man who raped his step daughter.
According to evidence brought forth in court the Pietermaritzburg man had been sexually violating his 13 year old daughter for a while .
The child was afraid to tell her mother about the assault as she feared her mother will not believe her.
NPA’s Natasha Ramkisson-Kara says this case has further put the child through more trauma.
