Police confirm that Jozini truck driver was drunk

The police have confirmed that the driver of a truck that ploughed into people and cars in Jozini north of the province had exceeded the legal blood alcohol limit.

Eight people were killed while 30 others were injured in this incident.

It is believed that the driver lost control of the articulated truck and ploughed into people and several vehicles in the busiest part of the small town.

Police spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala, the driver was arrested.
