Police Investigating Phoenix Teen Murder

A murder case has been opened in connection with a 17-year-old learner that was killed in Phoenix north Durban.

The boy died after being stabbed while at school in the area.

It is understood that a group of learners were fighting inside the school premises and the altercation led to the teenager being stabbed in the chest.

The boy was taken to a local clinic where he was declared dead on arrival.

Verulam police have are investigating the matter.
