Police on High Alert ESikhawini and Empangeni

UMhlathuze Municipality says police are monitoring the situation, following a violent protest over non delivery of services at eSikhawini, in the north of KwaZulu-Natal.
This follows an outcry by community members that they have been without water for over 3 years in the area.
They continue to block the main road block road linking eSikhawini from Richards Bay and eMpangeni.
Municipal spokesperson Mduduzi Ncalane says the police are trying to subjugate the situation.
