Police say it is quite unfair to assume that police failed in assisting the Moti family to find and rescue their children from kidnappers.
The boys were this morning reunited with their family, following three weeks of uncertainty.
News of the four brothers aged between seven and 15, made headlines when the children were snatched on their way to school.
National Police Spokesperson Vishnu Naidoo says the kidnapping was kept privately to protect the lives of the kids.
He says behind the scenes a multi-approach team, including the Social Development Department and community structures, were investigating the case, with the assistance of technological resources.
Naidoo says SAPS played their role in the case.
