Political leaders criticized for politicizing gender-bases violence

The Commission for Gender Equality has criticized political leaders for politicizing gender-based violence matters in order to score cheap political points.
ANC MP, Boy Mamabolo, asked EFF leader, Julius Malema, during the debate on the state of the nation in Parliament yesterday if he had abused his wife, to which he responded he had not.
Malema fired back, accusing President, Cyril Ramaphosa, of abusing his ex-wife, Nomazizi Mtshotshisa.
The commission’s, Javu Baloyi, says gender-based violence must be taken seriously.
