PRASA’s Irregular Expenditure Drops

The Passenger Rail Agency of SA says its irregular expenditure has declined from three-billion-rand to 1.3-billion-rand.
Fruitless and wasteful expenditure has also declined from 51-million-rand to 48-million-rand.
Briefing Parliament’s standing committee on public accounts today, Prasa’s Thandeka Mabija says in addressing malfeasance, already eight employees have been dismissed in the 2020/21 financial year for not breaking the public finance management act and other financial irregularities.
