President Cyril Ramaphosa says the slow growth of the economy and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has been particularly hard on women, youth, and persons with disabilities.

Yesterday the country celebrated National women’s day, with the official government ceremony held in Richmond in the midlands.

Ramaphosa says the second Presidential Summit on Gender-Based Violence and Femicide will be held in November.

He says it will do a detailed assessment of the implementation of the National Strategic Plan and chart the way forward.
