Pressure Mounts in Hospitals Amid COVID-19

The South African Medical Association says the shortage of doctors and nurses in hospitals during a pandemic is a huge problem.

This follows the increasing number of COVID-19 positive cases in the country as they draw close to a million.

Speaking to the Public Broadcaster, SAMA President, Dr Angelique Coetzee says extra medical personnel posts should’ve been made available to prevent this ordeal.
