EThekwini mayor, Mxolisi Kaunda, says the process to appoint a city manager is nearly completed.
Kaunda was speaking during a media briefing at the Durban City Hall yesterday.
Interviews have been completed and candidates are scheduled to undergo competency tests this week.
Kaunda says this high-level and strategic position has been vacant for almost a year.
