Radio Veteran Bhodloza Dies

Radio Veteran, Welcome Bhodloza Nzimande, known as Ingulube encane has passed away.

Nzimande passed away this morning in Umhlanga Hospital, north of Durban, after a short illness.

His career began in 1978 when he joined the  SABC as an announcer. He was also a presenter at the SABC for a show, Ezodumo, which promoted SA indigenous as well as traditional music.

He retired at SABC and pursued businesses and various interest in uplifting the people of South Africa. Nzmande was then appointed as Chairman of the Board of the Unemployment Insurance Fund.

Nzimande’s close friend, Zama Nomnganga, says the family and close friends are still shocked about his sudden death.

Speaking to Gagasi FM, he says Bodloza played a pivotal role in the broadcasting industry and has paved the way for the younger generation even in the music industry.
