President Cyril Ramaphosa says says South Africa’s membership in BRICS enables the country to employ additional and powerful tools in its fight to address its domestic triple challenges.
He has lead the South African delegation during his virtual participation in the 13th BRICS Summit.
BRICS is a grouping of five major emerging economies – South Africa, Brazil, Russia, India and China.
Ramaphosa says the challenges of unemployment, poverty, and inequality can be addressed through increased trade, investment, tourism, capacity building, skills, and technology transfers, particularly as part of its post COVID-19-pandemic economic recovery.
