President Cyril Ramaphosa has called for bolder and more innovative ways to finance the Just Transition projects in developing countries, saying a one size fits all approach will not work.
He has been delivering a National statement during the Sharm El-Sheikh Climate Summit underway in Egypt.
Ramaphosa says during last year’s COP26, in Glasgow, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the European Union offered support in the form of a Just Energy Transition Partnership.
He adds that hopes remain for the partnership to offer a groundbreaking approach to funding by developed countries.
