ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa says unity and renewal of the ANC is sacrosanct to take the country forward.

Ramaphosa has been addressing structures of the organization in the North West, as part of the ANC National Working Committee visit.

The visit is part of the NEC’s assessment of progress made in rebuilding the ruling party structures in the province.

Ramaphosa says leaders of the ruling party must put the needs of the people first ahead of their personal interests.

As the country is still curbing the spread of Covid 19, communities throughout KZN have accused government officials and ward councilors of corruption in the distribution of food parcels meant for poor communities.

Some councilors have been criticised for looting food parcels and for distributing it along political lines.

Ramaphosa says everyone must uphold the objective of the ANC.
