President, Cyril Ramaphosa, says he’s concerned that the country’s economy is not performing at the same level as other upper level income countries.
Ramaphosa has been speaking at the first meeting of the Presidential Economic Advisory Council in Parliament.
He appointed the 18-member council with effect from the 1st of this month for a three-year term.
Ramaphosa also says more needs to be done to address the challenge of low economic growth and poverty in the country.
