South African Airways has handed over nine reports relating to dodgy contracts for the Hawks and the National Prosecuting Authority.
The reports emanate from an internal forensic investigation.
A Sunday Times article stated that the airline admitted that it had been infiltrated by an international crime syndicate which looted hundreds-of-millions of rands from the airline through corrupt tenders.
This may have included the supply of dodgy parts.
SAA spokesperson, Tlali Tlali, says they continue to hold people accountable.
“We looked at the contracts that were entered into between SAA and SAA technical s with a number of service providers. The preliminary investigation painted a picture where we saw something that formed a pattern to a point that we arrived at the conclusion that this was a syndicated process. What is happening is that a number of other individuals have since been arrested, ” says Tlali.
