SA’cans Struggling to Pay their Bills

The latest research done for the Consumer Pulse Report by TransUnion show that 87% of consumers remain concerned about their ability to pay their bills and loans.

Only 3%t of surveyed households indicated their finances have fully recovered from the negative impact of the pandemic.

Around three-quarters of respondents said they have cut back their discretionary personal spending by canceling memberships or reducing digital services.

The research also found that a third of negatively impacted consumers plan to pay their bills and loans using savings.
