SAFCEI: Government not transparent enough regarding nuclear power plans

The Southern African Faith Communities’ Environment Institute says the government is not transparent enough regarding its nuclear power plans.
The institute says it has submitted a number of requests to government departments requesting more information.
Chairperson, Francesca de Gasparis, says proof of this is the lack of information about extending the life of the Koeberg nuclear plant as well as the investigation into the possible purchase of small modular reactors.
She believes the lack of information puts consumers at a disadvantage:
