SAFTU Throws Its Weight Behind Striking Workers

The South African Federation of Trade Unions (SAFTU) says it fully supports the strike by members affiliated to the South African Industrial, Commercial and Allied Workers Union.
The workers are demanding a wage increase of R30 per hour at RCL Food’s Pie Division.
SAFTU spokesperson, Trevor Shaku, says despite the worker’s compromise, the company refuses to move from the offer of a R2 per hour wage increase.
