Samkelo Gambushe, also known as “Sports Mjita,” has been making waves in the world of sports photography and videography. The SASA, hosted by Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, seek to recognize and honour individuals, teams and media for their efforts in keeping the passion of sport alive in the hearts of millions of South Africans.
Samukelo Gambushe is a passionate, forward-thinking Sport Journalist and Videographer on Gagasi FM’s morning drive show “The Uprising with Felix Hlophe and Njabs Zwane” (weekdays 06:00AM-09:00AM) who understands that modern radio lives beyond the sports bulletin.
Gambushe’s passion for sports and visual storytelling shows an astonishing amount of success, and he has worked tirelessly to hone his craft. He started out taking photos and videos of local sports events, and his work soon caught the attention of sports enthusiasts and professionals alike.
