Students from Durban University of Technology say they’ve started this week on a rocky note as they were not able to write one of their important tests for the quarter.
The students who were supposed to be writting their Economics test say they could not, following disruptions by the EFF Student Command.
It is alleged that they stormed into lecture theaters and started tearing their question papers apart. They say the student command is demanding that all lectures be put on stand still until the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) releases student funds.
Last month, Higher Education Minister Blade Nzimande revealed that students will only start receiving NSFAS funds as of this month, April.
