The South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC) says it will commence an inquiry on water access in KwaZulu-Natal on the 4th of July.

It is understood that issues of little to no access to water remains a day-to-day challenge.

The commission says the municipality’s inadequate response to the complaints are a violation of basic human rights.
