AfriForum prosecutor, Gerrie Nel, says he is confident they have the correct people on trial, but adds this is not all of them as the mastermind behind the murder is still roaming free.
AfriForum says its private prosecution unit has been instructed by Senzo Meyiwa’s mother and sisters to keep an eye on the trial of the five people accused of the 2014-murder of the former Bafana Bafana captain.
The trial is back in the North Gauteng High Court in Pretoria today.
The five accused are being charged with murder, attempted murder, and armed robbery, possession of firearms without a licence and the possession of ammunition.
Nel maintains that the story of a robbery gone wrong is a fabrication, adding that they were expecting more arrests in the matter.
