A stowaway has been found alive in the nose wheel section of a Cargolux plane after an 11-hour flight from South Africa to Amsterdam on Sunday.
Dutch police say it is remarkable that the man is still alive, and he is in hospital in a stable condition.
Police say the lack of oxygen at high altitudes and the cold temperatures during a flight makes it rare for stowaways to survive.
It is still unclear if the stowaway got on the flight in Johannesburg or during a stop in Nairobi, Kenya.
