Shocking Eskom Revelations at Zondo Commission

State Capture Inquiry Chairperson, Raymond Zondo, says it is troubling to hear how large amounts of money kept disappearing under the watch of Eskom’s board in 2015.
The commission heard how an amount of R1.6 billion was mistakenly approved for coal supply to Gupta-owned Tegeta.
The Commission was listening to Eskom related evidence from the former Eskom Board Member, Venete Klein.
Zondo says he remains shocked as to how a board of 12 people could authorise such large amount of payment without fact checking.
